Dolls presented to St. George’s Hospital

We recently handed over several Dolls to Sophie, who is the lead of the Croydon University Hospital Play team.
Sophie is seen here collecting a Doll for a young Cancer patient.

The Kiwanis Club of Croydon is thrilled with our recent collaboration with the Croydon University Hospital.
Our Dolls in Hospitals project was a heartwarming success, and we hope to continue providing support for the fantastic people who make up our Health Services.
These Kiwanis dolls are far more than simple toys; they serve as a vital bridge between young patients and their medical teams. The dolls provide a comforting blank canvas that allows doctors and nurses to demonstrate upcoming procedures—showing exactly where a bandage or injection will go—which helps demystify treatment and significantly reduces a child’s anxiety.
By allowing the children to color and personalize their dolls, this initiative transforms a clinical medical experience into one of ownership and creativity, offering a much-needed friend to hold during their time of recovery.

The South Norwood Festival is a one-day music, arts, crafts, and food festival for the community. It’s organised by the community of South Norwood. This is our fourth year attending, and it was once again a great day. We were once again able to spread the word about the Kiwanis Club of Croydon and the work we do.

Unleashing Creativity (and Sipping Some Fun!): My Sip and Paint Success!
Hey everyone!
The Kiwanis Club of Croydon recently hosted a sip and paint event, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! We’ve been wanting to organise something like this for a while, and seeing it come to fruition was incredibly rewarding!
Why Sip and Paint? The Benefits Are Real!
Before diving into the details of the event, let’s talk about why sip and paints are so popular. They offer a unique blend of relaxation, creativity, and social interaction.
Our Event: A Resounding Success!
Our Inaugural sip and paint event exceeded all our expectations. We had a wonderful group of people, a mix of friends and new faces, all eager to try their hand at painting. A vibrant, easy-to-follow theme was chosen as our subject, and everyone brought their own unique style to their canvases.
The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. Many people said they felt relaxed and inspired, and they were surprised at how much they enjoyed the experience.
Join the Fun at Future Events!
If you missed this one, don’t worry! We are in the process of making this a monthly event. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, you’re welcome to join us.
